I spend several hundred dollars a year at this location alone. My purchase are once a month in order to use the coupons they send me in the mail. Went in Nov. 6, 2015 with a coupon for $10 off a $50 purchase. My total came out to $52.99 and I was told by the clerk my coupon was not valid unless the total was before taxes, (Which was $49.98). "You can't let 2 cents slide?" I asked. "No," he said smugly, "it's our policy." I informed him my policy was never to entire another Northern Tool if they could not let 2 cents slide. He mentioned again it was policy. I left the merchandise and the store.
Went to go find an O-Ring for my pressure washer. Employee on the floor mumbled he didn't know and told me to ask the back. At first the employee in the back didn't look up from what he was doing until I tried to show him the part. Then he told me my part was impossible to find without him seeing the engine, even if I had the model number. Then told me I'd have to bring it in. Not quite a one star visit but close. I don't know if it's just incompetence or he didn't want to spend the time looking up the part. But I won't be back.
When the other 2 are out of what you need Northern Tools has it. Checked for power washer hose and extension wand online at HD... out of stock.... Checked online L's they showed 2 on isle 7, drove there from another city just to find nothing. Thanks to Northern Tools, they had both and price matched their online sale price. Both the employees that assisted me were very knowledgeable of what I was looking for and full of conversation.My new go to store.
